Bucket Style Crossbody Bag Pink and Gray Handmade in Peru Fair Trade Import
Crossbody bag, bucket style, pink and gray handmade by a Quechua Artisan. The Quechua people live within the Andes Mountain. They spend 45 days or more to hand weave a manta (blanket) which is used to create several items including this unique crossbody bag. The sheep wool is dyed by hand using natural dyes from wood, leaves or flowers. This bag is durable but also has delicate and intricate designs woven into its textile. The pattern woven throughout this piece is diamond in shape. All diamonds symbolize lakes. If there is something inside the diamond, it means the lake is healthy and ready for harvest. This symbol represents the importance of water for life and subsistence.
Fully lined fringed bucket bag has a drop strap at 23.5 inches.
